I am a registered clinical psychologist, who works with children and young people (0-25 years of age). I have extensive experience in assessing, treating, and managing cognitive, emotional and behavioural stresses experienced by infants, children, adolescents and young adults. One of my core interests is working with children and adolescents with psychiatric and medical conditions. I specialise in working with young children (up to five years of age), psychosomatic complaints, anxiety and depressive disorders, mother-baby psychotherapy and personality disorders/traits.
I use a variety of techniques according to a young person’s needs, including cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, play therapy, family and parenting work, group work, work with parent/s and child together, and individual psychotherapy. My work with a client can be short-term (six sessions) or long-term, depending upon the goals identified.
If necessary, I can work in collaboration with all of the systems relevant to a young person (including their immediate environment, their family, school, work place or other agencies involved). My work focuses on exploring and working towards all of the goals that a young person has identified.
